Multi-Property General Manager
The Excelsior, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Florence & The St. Regis Florence
Marriott International is seeking an exceptional luxury hospitality leader to assume responsibility for two of Florence’s most distinguished hotels: The Excelsior, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Florence and The St. Regis Florence.
Set along the banks of the Arno, these landmark properties combine rich Florentine heritage, distinctive brand identities and exceptional international reputations. This is a rare opportunity to lead two iconic hotels while shaping their continued evolution within Marriott International’s luxury portfolio.
The opportunity
As Multi-Property General Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across both hotels, creating a clear shared vision while preserving the individual character and positioning of The Luxury Collection and St. Regis brands.
You will lead and inspire the Executive Committees and wider hotel teams, championing an uncompromising approach to luxury service, associate engagement and commercial performance. Working closely with ownership and Marriott’s regional and global leadership teams, you will be accountable for delivering sustainable results and strengthening the long-term reputation of both properties.
This appointment requires a visible and influential leader who can operate confidently within a complex, high-profile environment—balancing heritage with innovation, brand stewardship with commercial discipline, and the expectations of discerning guests, owners and associates.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and overall accountability for the performance of both hotels.
- Develop and deliver a compelling multi-property strategy while protecting the distinct identity, culture and guest experience of each brand.
- Build highly engaged, performance-driven Executive Committees and create a strong pipeline of future luxury hospitality leaders.
- Champion exceptional and highly personalised guest experiences aligned with the standards of St. Regis and The Luxury Collection.
- Strengthen the market positioning and international profile of both hotels within Florence’s competitive luxury landscape.
- Drive sustainable revenue growth, profitability and asset value through disciplined commercial and operational leadership.
- Develop trusted, transparent relationships with ownership, regional leaders and key internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain the highest standards of quality, brand compliance, operational excellence and financial governance.
- Act as a prominent ambassador for both hotels, Marriott International and the city of Florence.
The successful candidate
You will be an established General Manager with a strong record of leading complex, internationally recognised luxury hotels.
You will bring:
- Significant General Manager experience within the international luxury hospitality sector.
- Proven success leading a high-profile hotel, resort or multi-property operation.
- A sophisticated understanding of luxury guests, service culture and brand positioning.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with evidence of delivering sustained business performance.
- Experience working effectively with owners and senior regional or global stakeholders.
- The ability to lead through influence, build alignment and navigate a complex stakeholder environment.
- A genuine passion for developing people and creating an inclusive, high-performance culture.
- Strong knowledge of the Italian luxury hospitality market; previous experience in Italy would be highly advantageous.
- Fluency in Italian and English.
- The presence, judgement and credibility to represent two of Florence’s most celebrated hotels.

L'azienda
It all began in 1432, when Filippo Brunelleschi built a palace on the banks of the Arno, in the heart of Florence. In the mid-19th century it became the Grand Hotel, Florence. Lovingly restored, from May 2011 it is the St. Regis Florence.
