Viceroy Los Cabos is located in the heart of San José del Cabo on the Coast of Baja California. The 192-room beachfront property faces the Sea of Cortez and embodies the essence of water throughout its architecturally stunning design. Scope of this Position:

The Group Sales Manager reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing. We are looking for an energetic, experienced customer service professional with excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, have a passion for service and hospitality.

Applicants will be a willing team player, comfortable with computer systems and willing to accept assignments on as need basis, in order to promote teamwork. This position will be a remote, home-based role preferably on the West Coast.  Flexibility to travel is a must.

Responsibilities

The Group Sales Manager prospects and sells to individual accounts on behalf of the hotel in accordance with the objectives established in the marketing plan. The Manager will ensure that sales activities, top accounts and bookings are focused to yield maximum revenue per available room.

  • Ensures maximum exposure effectiveness and coordinates within the market to obtain the strongest presence possible for Viceroy Los Cabos
  • Plans, develops, coordinates and attends travel trade shows, customer site inspection trips and events assigned with a focus on ROI.
  • Proactively prospects lead generation through trade shows, sales trips, and third-party planners.
  • Responds to and solicits business from all inquiries (phone or written requests) developed or assigned.
  • Creates and submits pre and post sales trip reports.
  • Executes sales and marketing plan strategies and directives geared to resort group sales and the development and achievement of annual goals as outlined.
  • Establishes positive relationships with destination partners creating revenue producing opportunities.
  • Develops and recommends annual action plan with suggestions on sales programs, activities and sales approach to accomplish goals within in the group sales segment. Includes solicitation call schedule, travel schedule and personal suggestions geared to generate prospects and leads.
  • Develops and manages trade show, client events and other activities creatively and effectively to ensure ROI.


Preferred Qualifications And Skills

  • We are looking for individuals who have solid selling and interpersonal skills and who demonstrate the energy and commitment to meet and exceed personal goals.
  • The applicant will have a proven track record in pursuing, evaluating soliciting, selling and confirming business as required in order to meet individual goals and overall budgeted sales and profitability. The ideal applicant would have strong relationships with meeting planners across the US.
  • Delphi knowledge and Opera knowledge preferred
  • Applicants are required to have 2-3 years previous experience in a similar role and travel is required; both domestic and international.
  • Strong command of the English language – Spanish is a bonus
  • Education: 4-year bachelors or equivalent degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major preferred.
  • Grooming: All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well-groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided).
  • Travel Requirements: This Sales Manager position has a requirement for business travel.


The expected pay range for this position is $75,000-$80,000 annually and is based on applicable & specialized experience and work location.
