Job Summary:

The Hotel Application Support Specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining the hotel's core business applications, ensuring their availability, performance, and reliability across our properties in Portugal. This role works closely with hotel operations, IT teams, and third-party vendors to provide technical and functional support, minimise system downtime, and enhance the overall user and guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical and functional support for hotel applications, including PMS, POS, ERP, booking engines, and other hospitality systems;
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, ensuring timely resolution in line with agreed service levels (SLAs);
• Monitor, maintain, and support hotel applications, including upgrades, patches, and system enhancements;
• Assist hotel staff with application usage, user access, and technical issues, delivering training when required;
• Log, prioritise, and manage support incidents using helpdesk systems;
• Collaborate with internal IT teams and third-party vendors to resolve complex issues and support system implementations;
• Ensure application security, data integrity, and compliance with company IT policies;
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance system performance and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Hospitality Technology, Information Systems, or a related field;
• 2–5 years of experience in application support, preferably within the hospitality industry;
• Experience supporting hotel applications such as PMS, POS, booking systems, ERP, Channel Managers, or similar hospitality software;
• Good understanding of hotel application workflows and system integrations;
• Familiarity with helpdesk/ticketing systems;
• Basic knowledge of SQL, Windows operating systems, and networking concepts is considered an advantage;
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent communication and customer service skills;
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced hospitality environment;
• Fluent in English and Portuguese.
