Role Overview
CELVIER is seeking an exceptional Waiter / Waitress to join the Front of House opening team at our luxury contemporary gelateria and patisserie boutique on Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi.
As a brand ambassador for CELVIER, you will deliver an elevated, discreet, and seamless guest experience that embodies quiet luxury. You will guide guests through our artisanal gelato collections, refined French pastry creations, and specialty beverage pairings with impeccable hospitality, deep product knowledge, and refined table service.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Experience & Quiet Luxury Service: Welcome guests warmly into the boutique, providing refined, attentive, and unhurried table service aligned with luxury hospitality standards.
- Product Knowledge & Storytelling: Master and articulate detailed menu components, flavor profiles, origin stories of ingredients, allergens, and preparation methods for our artisanal gelato, handcrafted viennoiserie, fine pastries, specialty coffees, and craft mocktails.
- Menu Consultation & Upselling: Confidently guide guests through tasting pairings, recommend pastry and beverage combinations, and introduce seasonal creations.
- Table & Floor Management: Maintain absolute pristine elegance and cleanliness across all dining tables, display vitrines, service stations, and guest areas throughout the shift
- Order Accuracy & POS Operation: Accurately record guest orders, communicate special dietary requirements to the culinary and barista teams, and handle POS billing and payment processing smoothly.
- Opening & Closing Standards: Execute daily FOH opening and closing checklists, restock service essentials, polish silverware and glassware, and ensure the boutique environment is presentation-ready at all times.
- Hygiene & Compliance: Strictly adhere to UAE food safety regulations, Abu Dhabi public health guidelines, and internal brand hygiene standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 -3 years of high-end food and beverage service experience in luxury boutique cafés, fine-dining restaurants, five-star hotel lounges, or premium patisseries.
- Communication Skills: Fluent English proficiency with exceptional verbal communication, professional posture, and active listening skills (Arabic or French is a strong advantage).
- Product Passion: Genuine appreciation for artisanal pastry arts, specialty coffee, and contemporary luxury dining trends.
- Personal Presentation: Immaculate personal grooming, refined demeanor, and adherence to company uniform standards.
- Availability: Flexibility to work rotational shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
