We are pleased to offer Chalet Chef positions within our Relaxed Catered Chalets in Val d’Isère.

Role Overview
This is a very demanding but rewarding role with full responsibility for the catering service in your allocated chalet alongside your team. The emphasis in this role is on your ability to draw on your own impressive experience and creativity to design and deliver a luxury chalet catering service of the highest possible standard.

Main Responsibilities

  • Breakfast Service: Preparation and service of a continental breakfast, including cooked egg dishes.
  • Afternoon Tea: Preparation and presentation of afternoon tea for guests to help themselves.
  • Evening Service: Preparation and service of a three-course family-style evening meal, together with a separate children’s dinner served earlier in the evening, five nights per week.
  • Staff Meals: Planning, preparation and service of two staff meals each day.
  • Food Hygiene Standards: Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and general health and safety in the kitchen and dining areas, including a full clean of the kitchen after each service and a weekly deep clean.
  • Front of House: Supporting the chalet team with front-of-house duties as required.
  • Budgets and Accounts: Managing the chalet food budget, including ordering supplies and shopping.
  • Guest Communication: Communicating proactively with guests to ensure queries are dealt with and special requests are met promptly, including presenting menus and engaging with guests when required.
  • Environmental Responsibility: Demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainability and actively supporting Consensio’s environmental initiatives.

  • Competitive base salary with paid overtime.

  • Holiday pay (due to the busy nature of the winter season, it may not be possible to take holiday; therefore, you will be paid your holiday pay at the end of your employment contract).

  • Hold an EU passport or a French Carte de Séjour
  • Have a full driving licence held for at least 2 years
