Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Fitness Instructor is responsible for the smooth operation of the fitness facilities within the hotel, and is to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities and duties for this position shall include, but not be limited to, the following areas and activities. The holder of this position may, at any time, be called to perform any other cognate duties at the request of management.

• To promote fitness activities and exercise within the establishment.

• To ensure high level of personal cardiovascular and musculatory fitness

• To provide surveillance in the gym, ensuring that cardiovascular and musculatory equipment are being used as per advised norms.

• To consult guests, and to respond to their individual needs and requirements.

• To provide specific classes and courses, such as personal training, aerobics, etc. for groups or individuals upon request.

• Ensure that the fitness areas are always impeccably maintained.

• To fulfill reception duties if so required.

• To respect the daily Rotation System(work planning) prepared by Fitness Supervisor

• To provide a courteous and motivating service to all guests.

• Adhere to the grooming policy, code of conduct and any other policy related to the department and the hotel.

• Adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Act, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy

• Promote Energy efficiency and environment and identify improvement to support the Green Globe Policy.

• Maintain grooming as per standards at all times

Qualifications

Qualifications

• SC holder OR equivalent
• National Trade Certificate Level 3
• Diploma in Fitness / Sports studies would be an advantage

Experience

• A minimum of  2 years experience in the hospitality industry on a similar position
• Experience working in top of the range large luxury resorts of over 180 rooms with refined services for the discerning and demanding traveler.
• A previous international exposure will be an advantage
• Sportsman/woman with professional expertise
