We are looking for a dedicated, professional, and service-oriented Chef de Rang / Runner to join our hotel restaurant team.

Our restaurant, LE KOLYA, offers a different pace from high-volume establishments. As part of a hotel environment, we focus on quality over quantity, delivering personalized service and creating memorable experiences for our guests. Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service throughout their dining experience.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and confidently.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the menus, daily specials, seasonal offerings, and beverage selections in order to make recommendations and upsell appropriately.
  • Manage dietary requirements, food allergies, and special requests with the utmost care, ensuring accurate communication with the kitchen and service teams.
  • Serve food and drinks according to the restaurant's service standards.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by responding promptly and professionally to requests and concerns.

  • Prepare, organize, and maintain service stations before, during, and after service.
  • Set up, monitor, and clear tables while maintaining high presentation standards.
  • Coordinate effectively with the kitchen, bar, reception, and management teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist with the preparation, service, and breakdown of banquets, private events, meetings, and special functions.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in all restaurant and service areas.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and operational standards to ensure consistency and excellence in service delivery.
  • Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and support colleagues whenever required.


Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Rang, Runner, Waiter/Waitress, or in a similar hospitality role.
  • Experience in a hotel restaurant or banquet environment is an advantage.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high service standards.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of POS systems such as Restomax and/or Lightspeed is a strong advantage.
  • Fluent in French and English; knowledge of Dutch or additional languages is a plus.
  • Must be based in Brussels.
  • Own transportation (car, motorcycle, or scooter) is highly preferred due to evening working hours and event-related schedules.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, public holidays, and special events.


Working Schedule

  • 6 days per week.
  • Evening shifts only.
  • Regular participation in banquets, events, and special hotel functions.
