About Park Hyatt London River Thames 

Opening 2024, Park Hyatt London River Thames offers 203 spacious and comfortable rooms, including a mega-suite and presidential suite. With stunning city and river views, signature Charlie Whinney pieces, and a convenient location in the heart of London, the hotel is an ideal launchpad to explore the city, with nearby attractions including Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and Kings Road. The hotel will boast exquisite dining options, state-of-the-art events space and an indulgent spa with relaxation lounges, nail salon, spa rooms and indoor pool. 

Duties and responsibilities related to the ​Director of Events​ role 

  • Responsible for overseeing the events sales department in the hotel and the successful planning and coordinator of conferences, seminars and trade shows, and special events such as weddings and birthdays 
  • In collaboration with the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will develop and implement event strategies and plans to achieve company objectives and enhance brand awareness 
  • Lead and mentor the events sales team to ensure events are delivered to the highest standards 
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences, and providing personalized service to exceed expectations and foster loyalty 
  • Develop pricing strategies and upsell opportunities to maximize revenue, including add-on services, upgrades, and ancillary offerings 
  • Implement quality assurance measures to ensure a reputation for excellence in event hosting, ensuring attention to detail, consistency, and adherence to brand standards 


About you 

  • Previous experience in luxury hotel event management is essential, with a proven track record of orchestrating successful events and exceeding client expectations. You will possess extensive knowledge of planning strategies, logistics coordination, and vendor management within the hospitality industry
