For the opening of a new venue bringing hospitality and music together in Brussels, we are looking for an experienced Bar Manager to build and develop the bar operations from day one.

ROLE

As Bar Manager, you will take ownership of the bar’s operational, human and financial performance. You will be both a hands-on hospitality professional and a responsible team leader, ensuring consistently high standards before, during and after service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Lead the daily bar operation and remain hands-on during service, especially at peak times.

· Set up and maintain efficient procedures for opening, closing, mise en place and handovers.

· Manage inventories, supplier orders, deliveries, stock levels, wastage and product availability.

· Recruit, onboard, schedule and supervise permanent staff, flexi-jobs and students.

· Build efficient rotas in line with expected activity, labour budgets and Belgian regulations.

· Train and coach the team, set clear standards and create a positive, accountable work culture.

· Ensure consistent drink quality, speed of service, cleanliness, food safety and responsible alcohol service.

· Monitor revenue, cost of goods, labour costs, margins, cash handling and operational reporting.

EXPERIENCE & PROFILE

You have solid bartending experience and previous responsibility for the day-to-day management of a bar. You are dynamic, reliable and organised, with strong financial awareness and a genuine talent for managing people. You lead by example, communicate clearly and remain calm and solution-oriented during busy services. You care deeply about product quality, guest experience and creating a positive and inclusive team culture.

You speak at least English and have basic understanding of French and/or dutch.

WHAT WE OFFER

A full-time, on-site position in Brussels and the opportunity to play a key role in the launch and development of a distinctive new hospitality and music venue. You will join a creative, collaborative team and have real ownership of the bar operation.
