Role Description This full-time, on-site Mice - Event Sales Manager role is based at San Clemente Palace Venice in Venice. The Mice - Event Sales Manager is responsible for driving event sales, from initial inquiry through contract negotiation and closing, for private events, corporate functions, and special occasions. Daily activities include responding to inquiries, preparing proposals, conducting site inspections, and maintaining relationships with clients and event planners. The role coordinates closely with operations, culinary, and hospitality teams to ensure seamless event delivery, accurate forecasting, and optimal revenue management. The Event Sales Manager also monitors market trends, maintains detailed records in sales systems, and contributes to sales reports and strategy meetings.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in Event Planning and Event Management for Mice, private events, corporate functions, or social occasions.
  • Proven Sales skills, including prospecting, negotiation, closing, and account management.
  • Strong Communication abilities, including clear written communication and confident client-facing interaction.
  • Ability to design and manage Mice Events that align with brand standards and guest expectations.
  • Experience in hospitality, luxury hotels, or resort environments is highly beneficial.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple events and deadlines at once.
  • Proficiency with CRM or sales management tools and basic office software (e.g., MS Office or equivalent).
  • Fluency in English required; additional language skills, especially Italian, are an advantage.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event needs.
  • Relevant education in hospitality, business, or event management is preferred.
