The Hellenic Chefs Federation was founded in 2003 and consists of three equal members: The Chef's Club of Greece, The Ionian Islands Chefs Club and the Greek Gastronomy Chefs Club.
The main role of the Federation is its institutional culinary presence in matters related to tourism and education. At the same time, an important role in its actions is the promotion of Greek gastronomy throughout the world.
The promotion of traditional Greek cuisine to the ends of the earth is one of its main priorities. For this reason, the local clubs under the auspices of the Federation organize pan-Hellenic cooking and pastry competitions, collaborate with cultural clubs in researching old recipes and culinary customs, participate in international competitions and many of its members, who are also teachers of tourism professions, teach Greek traditional cuisine to young students so that there is a proper succession.
The Federation of Chefs of Greece is one of the official institutional partners of the EOT and the Ministry of Tourism for the promotion of Greek gastronomy.
