Rupert Simoner, CEO of Vienna House since September 2014, leads Austria’s largest hotel operator, its business strategy, and has transformed the brand’s strengths and its demarcation to keep moving the company forward to a successful long-term future.
As the CEO, Simoner encourages his team to think creatively, questioning the status quo: “We are not good at doing things by standards, and I do not want us to be good at that.” By doing so, he incentives his team to come up with new and fresh ideas, to own them and to make them happen in order to leave a foot print that they can look back on with pride.
Before Vienna House, Simoner held the position of Senior Vice President of Kempinski Europe and as General Manager at the Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains St. Moritz. With over 20 years of professional experience in the tourism and hospitality sector, Simoner has gained international recognition as an excellent hotelier and corporate leader in the industry.
