***This is a Remote role and will be needed in the Atlanta, GA office on a quarterly basis***

Role Purpose

This role will own and manage the HCM system release schedule including the monitoring of release communications, identifying release changes both required and optional, working with subject matter SMEs and stakeholders to identify, test, and migrate updates to production.  This includes all releases and deployment of additional functionality for all Oracle modules (core HR, recruiting, talent management, time & labour, payroll, absence, benefits, compensation). Ensuring the use of HR technology to its full potential to support user friendliness and IHG’s competitiveness within the industry. This position also serves as SME for core HCM functionality and cross module integration and drives continuous improvement to deliver standardised HR process, efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Accountabilities

•Coordinate the release schedule and resources required in close coordination with HRIS, defect backlogs, planned releases, and infrastructure updates. 

•Support the adoption of the people technology roadmap with facilitation of release deployment and adoption of additional functionality, considering global process improvements to deliver increased HR process standardization, efficiency and effectiveness.

•Time management - plan the release of project deliverables and release life cycle working closely with involved teams, including planning, testing, and implementation in production environment.

•Project planning - create detailed project plans for implementation and deployment as per the release schedule.

•Identify product opportunities, drive strategic planning, and articulate topline business requirements.

•Lead the cross-functional working teams to design, develop, and implement release development and prioritized product roadmap elements.

•Ensure progress as per plan and give regular updates on the release activities and plans for leadership teams.

•Communication - communicate the project-related tasks such as plans, timelines, requirements, etc. between different teams. Serving as a liaison across the GPS team and business stakeholders to guarantee smooth and timely delivery.

•Risk management - identify any risks that can delay the release and manage them, such that the quality of the release is not affected.

•Impact assessment – in collaboration with SME and business owners facilitate impact assessment, ensure any downstream impacts and roadblocks have been identified and mitigated, e.g. business processes, integrations, custom functionality.

•Collaborate with different third-party teams and Oracle partners to ensure all releases are adopted to full benefit of IHG.

•Release readiness - conduct reviews before deployment and milestone reviews after each release.

•Change management - collaborate with business partners like wider HR teams, Technology Services and change management teams to ensure readiness for each release.

•Test Management – plan and lead each release testing cycle, to ensure all downstream impacts have been resolved before launch.

•Team up with relevant development teams responsible for automated testing tools used to develop and deploy the release.

•Deployment - Lead go-live activities to deploy the releases successfully without disturbance to the business.

•Maintain documentation related to procedures on build and release, various notifications lists, and dependencies.

•Make improvements in the methodologies used for configuration management and adoption of releases.

•Identifies goals, metrics, and analytics to determine product/release/development value.

Key Skills & Experiences

Education

•Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering, information technology or any related.

Experience

•5+ years progressive work-related experience in HR technology & SAAS systems.  

•Experience in the design and delivery of process improvements involving systems is preferable.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

•Proven Oracle HCM implementation/configuration experience in one or more Oracle HCM modules, e.g. HR Core, Recruitment

•Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of SAAS release scheduling and management.

•Program management experience with established product management processes in organizing, planning and executing projects from conception through implementation. Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks/clients required.  

•Good understanding of application infrastructure, system architecture, and operating system

•Effective verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to present new concepts, research findings, and business outcomes to various groups including senior management.

•Demonstrated proficiency in recognizing and resolving problems or inconsistencies in transactions and systems.

•Ability to handle complex projects, competently liaise and articulate with fellow and higher levels of management, demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.

•Experience in working with automated testing tools.

•Collaborative and organized team player with team management skills and experience working with global teams.

Pay Transparency: 

The salary range for this role is $119,273 to $149,091. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the United States. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. 

This job is also eligible for a 15% bonus pay ***
