Kyoto's new hidden gem is exclusively located in the beautifully preserved Gion Shirakawa and Shinmonzen street. The Shinmonzen, a luxury boutique hotel designed by one the world's most celebrated contemporary architects - Tadao Ando and other artist friends. The project has been a labour of love for over 10 years and has been designed for the modern travellers with a deep inspiration of an experience from a traditional Japanese Inn, Ryokan.
Our vision is to be the best, exclusive luxury boutique hotel in Kyoto providing the highest level of personalisation and memorable experiences.
The team of The Shinmonzen are artists of their own craft – from the art of welcoming the guests, art of bed making and preparing the room to the art of tea, we take pride of what we do to ensure we provide the best experience for our guests.
