Founded by Lara Boglione (Petersham Nurseries) and Giovanni Mazzei (Marchesi Mazzei, Fonterutoli), Trogolo draws from centuries of food and wine culture, inspired by the city of Florence, where trattorias and wine bars spill onto the streets. Lara brings a passion for seasonal cooking and expressive spaces. Giovanni brings 26 generations of Tuscan winemaking, and a wine list with gravitas. Set in the heart of Westbourne Grove, Trogolo brings a contemporary Florence to London. A bar, a trattoria, and a neighbourhood hangout. Trogolo moves to the rhythm of Florence: a quick plate of pasta and glass of wine at lunch, moving aside for long and vibrant aperitivos, where a spritz, a glass of Vermentino and plates of cheese and charcuterie set the mood for the night ahead. Dinner is slow, loud, and generous. Wine flows. Plates are shared. No one’s in a rush.
