Job Description

As a Director of Banquets, you will lead and support the Banquet team as well as any other Food and Beverage assigned outlet as business demands to create unforgettable and elegant event experiences for all our clientele.

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide operational leadership and direction for the day to day operations of the Banquets Department and any other assigned Outlet with a focus on tailor-made service for each and every guest.
  • Support, mentor, and coach the Banquet team and/or any other assigned Food & Beverage teams to maintain luxury engagement.
  • Handle guest concerns and respond promptly providing a exceptional service recovery and notifying all appropriate parties where necessary. Create and support a welcoming and personalized experience for every guests.
  • Ensure brand standards are maintained with highest standard of quality and HAACP standards are adhered to.
  • Assist with all administrative tasks to include payroll, scheduling, paperwork, reports, Audit preparation documentation, etc. and any other assigned special projects.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership, the Banquet team and other departments.
  • Work with the F&B leadership team to improve offerings and actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions to meet and exceed guests expectations and dining experiences.
  • Assist in overall F&B management responsibilities as needed.
  • Follow department policies, procedures and Sofitel luxury service standards.


Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Luxury service focused and a passion for everything Food and Beverage.
  • 2-5 years previous Banquets leadership experience in a similar  role in a luxury setting.
  • Proactive, with a demonstrated eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple functions, while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities and the ability to lead by example.
  • Previous F&B point of sale system experience required, preferably Silverware.
  • Exceptiona communication skills and strong computer skills.


Visa Requirements:  Must be legally eligible to work in United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining US work authorization.
