Job Description

Sell, deliver and account for products in the dining room in a manner consistent with the SMI standards. These tasks are to be handled in a friendly, courteous, helpful, timely and professional manner resulting in a very high level of guest satisfaction.

• Exceed guests expectations, and make them feel special
• “Can do” attitude
• Sale (suggestive selling)
• Follow Fairmont standards for  service
• Personal and financial accountability
• Proper and friendly service when in contact with all guests
• Control costs and waste
• Be pro-active by assisting co-workers
• Be familiar with all aspects and services of Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa
• Maintain extensive knowledge of menu, food preparation techniques
• Maintain extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, beer
• Maintain cleanliness of restaurant and service stations
• Serve from the cheese cart and maintain extensive knowledge of cheeses
• Other duties as assigned
• Side work duties
• Seasonal role from May- July
• Morning availability
• Weekend availability

 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Able to speak, read, and write English at advanced level to facilitate communications. 
• One to two years fine dining experience preferred. 
• Able to stand and be mobile for up to 4 hours. 
• Able to lift, bend and stoop to perform various tasks. 
• Able to lift frequently and carry bus trays and other objects weighing up to 25 pounds. 
• Able to move quickly and efficiently.

Hourly rate of $18.00
