POSITION OVERVIEW

Amankora in Bhutan is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and highly accomplished Executive Chef that has a combination of strong culinary experience and management skills within an international ultra-luxury hospitality environment.

 

Our successful candidate would be overseeing the culinary operations with a team of 70 chefs, located across 5 individual Lodges, with a total of 76 Suites.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Our preferred candidate would have the below skills and traits:

  • Proven record of working in luxury establishments in a similar position.
  • A creative flair and exposure to Western, Middle Eastern, and Asian cuisine.
  • Extensive experience in curating extraordinary culinary guest experiences.
  • A solid understanding of sustainable cuisine, together with experience in establishing and managing the productive Kitchen Gardens as an integral part of the guest experience.
  • Strong passion and desire to work with locally sourced ingredients and fresh produce.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to adapt to different cultures
  • Transparency and integrity, building a harmonious and productive working culture.
  • Establishing teams with a strong passion for staff training and developing within various Lodge teams.
  • Problem-solving skills remotely and work closely with diverse local and expertise management team.


Experience of working in a remote location will be an added benefit.

QUALIFICATIONS

A strong candidate would have to be specialized in the following technical areas:

  • F&B Operations and Controls
  • Cost Analysis and Profitability
  • Understanding of Culinary Sustainability and unique F&B offerings
  • Innovative Menu Design and Costing
  • Curating Extraordinary Culinary Experiences for Guests
  • Quality Improvement Strategies
  • Revenue focused through upselling initiatives and creating Bespoke private dining venues.
  • Staff Training & Development
