POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsible for planning, organizing and managing Reservation and Revenue. Maximize overall hotel revenue and profit through development and implementation of effective inventory and pricing strategies based on future demand forecasts, current trends and historical data. Responsible for determining the optimal mix of business and managing distribution strategies on all channels to increase revenue and drive market share. Communicate reservation management strategic vision to other team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive Market Share and Revenue Performance through proper pricing, inventory and market mix management
  • Develop overall pricing strategy to include all market segment and distribution channels
  • Provide guidance on contracted account pricing (Travel Partners & Corporate FIT accounts) to the Sales team
  • Provide guidance on group availability and pricing. Ensure Group Guidelines and Target Rates are updated on a regular basis
  • Ensure effective and competitive pricing strategies are in place to reflect asset strengths relative to the competition and market dynamics
  • Effectively manage inventory and pricing strategies on all distribution channels including brand.com, third party websites and GDS
  • Focus on lowering distribution costs and driving room nights to Direct segment
  • Coordinate with Digital Marketing director to optimize online opportunities for incremental revenue and market share growth
  • Communicate with Digital Marketing and Sales team on soft dates to drive occupancy
  • Closely monitor competitive pricing and understand impact of pricing strategies on property performance
  • Consult with Sales Managers on rate/ inventory availability for all potential group business and oversee the management of Group Blocks from the PMS (ie. group cut-off dates, rooming lists, group block activity)
  • Assess group business based on displacement analysis principles to ensure maximization of overall hotel revenue
  • Pro-actively identify and analyze highs and lows taking into consideration past performance as well as new market trends. Implement appropriate strategies including LOS restrictions, price decisions, room type yielding, overbooking, etc
  • Pro-actively monitor the hotel revenue budget to recommend and implement corrective actions where necessary
  • Be recognize as the in-house hotel specialist, optimizing the pre-selling and up-selling activities and ensure skills transfer to the reservation department team members
  • Oversee the management of Reservations to ensure effective selling strategies are in place and all Core Standards & Policies are followed
  • Maintain at all times proper filing of reservations, contracts and reports whether in the office or on Shared Drive as per standards

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years experience in same profile
  • Revenue management knowledge
  • Proficient in English
