Description

The finance business partners of citizenM are key players in citizenM’s global teams, such as commercial, hotel operations, real estate investments or digital platforms. In these teams, you will collaborate with your colleagues to create business value, successfully implement the expansion across Europe, USA and Asia, and further improve financial processes. You will need to develop a deep understanding of the key business drivers of the teams in order to support, influence and sometimes challenge the teams in their decision making. As citizenM is a highly dynamic company, you will look beyond existing procedures and co-develop solutions to capture opportunities. You will be part of the wider global Finance organization located in Voorschoten, which enables you to build a long-term career by extending your experience to other finance areas such as FP&A, sustainability reporting, accounting services and corporate finance. 

Key Responsibilities

• drive business performance by supporting business teams on strategy, monthly performance, and decision making. Be a proactive finance business partner!
• provide insights on the core financial and non-financial business performance. Clearly explain the business trends and potential implications to the senior leaders
• develop and co-create business cases for the key innovations. With that, you will unleash the required resources for growth, whilst ensure accountability to deliver results
• own the inputs of your teams for financial cycles such as budgeting and long-term plans
• drive data analytics and automation through digital tooling such as Tagetik and PowerBI
• working with the financial control teams to assure smooth month-end closing processes
• support citizenM’s finance strategy and identify opportunities for improvements, standardization and best practice implementation

Qualifications / skills

• have a master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or economics
• experience in finance, business control, M&A, consulting, or accounting
• high energy and interest to perform financial analysis, identify trends, and understand the ‘story’ behind the numbers
• have strong communication skills and are able to communicate business insights to various organizational levels and with different internal and external stakeholders
• advanced Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills. Preferably experienced in PowerBI 
• have the ability to keep the broad overview, whilst also having eye for detail
• have a proactive mindset, and enjoy developing new solutions
