Description
The SEO marketing manager is responsible for the creation, optimizing and control of our Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and support of the performance strategy. The position requires a clear understanding of the three pillars namely technology (crawlability, indexability page speed etc), content (relevance and quality compared to the competition) and popularity (brand awareness, linking authority and page ranking). We are looking for a proactive candidate with a strong vision; someone who gets energy from making a real impact in a fast-growing organization like citizenM. You are performance driven, looking at opportunities and want to build up a strong appearance in Google while aware of other channels that could add to the total solution mix. 

You will sit at the intersection of content, CMS, and product organization and adjacent to the digital marketing and CRM team, building up the inhouse knowledge and working closely with professional international agencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall strategy and implementation of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) 
• Operational execution of the SEO optimization including keyword research, menu and page structures to ensure best possible results in SERP’s
• Active participation in our Google strategy and execution of our growth strategy for direct sales
• Identification of new growth opportunities and translating ideas into business cases i.e Blog
• Hyperfocus on hotel page optimization, hotel names and hotel facilities
• Link building, reclamation and optimization
• Work closely with the performance marketing team to execute, test and learn of new (Google) products to attract the key target customers
• Work closely with UX, product owners, CRO, and Content teams to improve user experience and funnel conversion rate
• Partner with the Demand/revenue team to identify, and provide feedback on top-performing hotels, occupancy-levels and market trends

Qualifications / skills

• Solid SEO experience
• Ambition have direct reports, in the form of an intern or junior operational execution 
• Solid knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Datastudio, SEMRush / Similarweb
• Working knowledge of AI and AI tools
• Understanding of Core Web Vitals both as a measurement tool and ability to brief product team on how to improve
• Management of Href, redirects and canonicals
• Analysis and ensuring utilization of semantic vocabulary for conversion of unstructured to structured data
• Strong analytical skills with a high understanding of numbers and their interpretation
• Work experience in eCommerce (retailer or agency) or travel industry
• Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing and measurement
• Fluency in English (verbal & written)
• Bachelor’s degree in business marketing, economics, business(or similar)
• Familiar with Agile or comparable ways of working
• Google AdWords Professional qualifications is a pre
• Weekly / monthly management reporting
