Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CDP Solution Owner who will be responsible for driving the development and success of our Customer Data Platform (CDP). As the CDP Solution Owner, you will play a critical role in shaping our data-driven strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals, and delivering exceptional data experiences to our internal and external customers. You will bring our Azure-based CDP to the next level. For our services, you will drive the build vs buy discussions with the internal stakeholders, and with the development team.

As a solution owner, you engage with your business stakeholders to manage the demand funnel and create a (rolling) road map according to agile ways of working. You manage the technical backlog for the CDP platform and you keep a close eye on the capacity of the team. You ensure the team is focussed on the right topics and works at a sustainable pace. With the team, internal stakeholders, and external partners you ensure the smooth delivery of services from within the team.

You will play a key role in the growth of the CDP team from a team staffed with externals only to a blended team with internal and external developers. This position specifically requires expertise with API best practices, the Azure cloud and MACH architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the CDP technical backlog and service capabilities of the team
• Be responsible for the delivery of the CDP technical backlog as solution owner. Support and develop ways of working and delivery of the CDP team and optimize services offered by the CDP platform and team. 
• CDP Solution Strategy: In tight collaboration and under the guidance of an Enterprise Architect Develop a comprehensive CDP Solution strategy aligned with the organization's goals, market trends, and customer needs. Identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation through APIs.
• Participate in the full planning cycle of the organization (BRP) and ensure commitment to the services of the team and dedication to the developed strategy
• CDP Solution Ownership: Take end-to-end ownership of the product life cycle, from concept to launch and ongoing enhancements. Define product vision, create product roadmaps, prioritize features, and manage the product backlog. 
• Design and Best Practices: Define and promote CDP design patterns, guidelines, and best practices across the organization. Together with the team, ensure CDP data and functionality  and associated microservices are well-documented, easy to consume, secure, and scalable. 
• Design and Best Practices: Drive adoption of the test automation, QA cycle, and SDLC model of the organization. 
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Per agile ways of working in citizenM Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, architects, UX designers, and business domain Product Owners, to gather requirements, define CDP and microservice capabilities, and ensure successful implementation and adoption. CDP is a new but already highly connected platform in the very heart of our business.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: own and manage the relationship with our core partners for the CDP platform.
• Platform Performance and Optimization: Monitor CDP performance, usage patterns, and customer feedback to identify areas for optimization and improvement. Drive initiatives to enhance CDP performance, scalability, and reliability. This includes ensuring the relative infrastructure is performing optimally.
• Manage the technical debt of the platform to ensure it stays within the boundaries agreed with Enterprise Architect.

Qualifications / skills

• Bachelor or Master’'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect/Owner, Engineering Manager or similar role, with a focus on Customer Data Platforms
• In-depth knowledge of API and SQL best practices, including RESTful design principles, domain models, versioning, security, and documentation.
• Strong understanding of the relevant Azure cloud components and MACH architecture principles. Prior experience in this area is very desirable including experience with publish and subscribe models.
• Familiarity with API management platforms, developer portals, serverless computing and related technologies.
• Comfortable with agile ways of working and working in product teams
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and manage multiple priorities.
