Job Description
Constance Halaveli, a luxurious resort in the Maldives, is seeking a friendly and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team. As the first point of contact for our esteemed guests, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a memorable stay from check-in to check-out.
- Welcome and register guests, providing a warm and professional greeting upon arrival
- Handle guest inquiries and requests promptly and efficiently, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Process check-ins and check-outs, including handling payments and explaining hotel policies
- Manage room reservations, upgrades, and special requests
- Coordinate with other departments to fulfil guest needs and resolve any issues
- Maintain accurate guest records and hotel information using our property management system
- Assist with concierge services, including booking excursions and making restaurant reservations
- Handle telephone calls, emails, and face-to-face communications in a professional manner
- Promote hotel services and facilities to maximise revenue opportunities
- Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable at all times
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and empathetic demeanour
- Proficiency in hotel management software and basic computer skills
- Strong multi-tasking abilities and attention to detail
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to guest satisfaction
- Basic accounting and cash handling experience
- Fluency in English; additional languages are highly desirable
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in Hospitality Management or related field is advantageous
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry and current trends
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Willingness to work in a remote island setting and adapt to the unique environment of the Maldives
