New waterfront restaurant opening in Sydney Australia and we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team. RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee all culinary operations within the restaurant, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.

Lead and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to maintain high standards of quality and consistency.

Develop creative and innovative dishes that reflect a range of cuisines, from casual to fine dining experiences.

Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, as well as regulatory requirements.

Manage inventory and food cost control to maximize profitability while maintaining quality.

Collaborate with the management team to create seasonal menus, special event offerings, and promotions.

Monitor kitchen operations to optimize efficiency and productivity, implementing improvements as needed.

Maintain a positive and professional work environment, fostering teamwork and communication among staff.

Stay current with culinary trends, techniques, and ingredients, incorporating new ideas into menu development.

About you

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 7 years of experience in culinary roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position as a Head Chef or similar role.

Proven track record of working in various cuisines and dining levels, including casual and upmarket dining establishments.

Strong culinary skills, with the ability to create innovative and appealing dishes that meet quality standards.

Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both verbal and written.

Proficient in menu planning, food costing, and inventory management.

Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.

Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

Positive attitude, leadership qualities, and a passion for the culinary arts.

Willingness to relocate to Australia and eligible for sponsorship.
