The Opportunity: 

Chief Engineer 

Who We Look For: 

We are looking for a motivated individual who can provide support to our engineering leadership team. You will be responsible for assisting the Director of Engineering and the Assistant Director of Engineering with leading a team with passion, that provides service and repairs to hotel equipment including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC refrigeration and respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum guest satisfaction. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead a diverse and dynamic team  

  • Oversee the development of the team members and conduct performance reviews throughout the year 

  • Partner well with other leaders throughout the resort 

  • Periodically train new and current employees while having the ability to coach and give constructive feedback 

  • Ensure that effective and concise preventive maintenance schedules are followed by the team 



Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Three or more years of maintenance experience as a supervisor or higher with strong leadership skills 

  • Thorough understanding of and ability to execute proper maintenance procedures for mechanical and plant equipment including, but not limited to, pressure-reducing valves, air filtration, pumps, fans, and all fire equipment and sensors. 

  • An ability to learn and understand highly technical subjects. 



  • An ability and desire to continue learning and updating skills. 

  •  An ability to act responsibly and ethically. 

  • Knowledge of general building maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, building and electrical units and HVAC. 

  • Knowledge of operating systems such as HotSOS, InnControl & Metasys BMS 

  • High level of comprehension with using Microsoft Office Products: Word, PowerPoint, Excel 

  • The ability to learn multiple computer software systems and accurately input information into systems. 

  • A sincere willingness to provide service to residents, guests, and peers. 

  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to work independently. 

  • Ability to function well under pressure, set priorities and adjust to changing conditions. 

  • High work ethic, with a sense of responsibility for the role filled within our team. 



A successful candidate will have 3-5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in resorts, and who already possess legal work authorization for employment in the United States.
