The Pastry Cook 3 will prepare pastry items of consistent quality according to guest orders following recipes, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards; strong knowledge of health codes and full understanding of proper kitchen equipment. Maintain a safe, sanitary work environment.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

The qualified candidate will possess the following:

  • Prior professional baking experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
  • Solid knife skills.
  • Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management skills: ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions. Willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work closely with other departments and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests.
  • Flexible schedule; ability to work varied hours and days, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 70 lbs.
