About the job

Summary1,  Knowledge of all hotel features/services, hours of operation. All room types, numbers, layout, decor, appointments and location. All room rates, special packages and promotions. Daily house count and expected arrivals/departures. Room availability status for any given day. Scheduled daily group activities.
2,  Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all hotel and department policies and  procedures.

3,  Meet with supervisor to review daily assignments and priorities.

4,  Meet with departing Host to review business status and follow up items

5,   Access all function of computer system according to established procedures and standards.

6,  Set up workstation with necessary supplies; maintain cleanliness throughout shift.

7,   D epartment telephone within three rings, using correct greeting and telephone etiquette.

8,   Promote positive guest relations to all individuals approaching the Front Desk.

9,   Accommodate all requests for information in a congenial manner.

10,   Legibly document pertinent information in the logbook.

11,   Always present a clean and tidy appearance in accordance with the hotel’s grooming standards.
