Provide management, IHG & the hotel owners with timely and accurate reporting of hotel financial information, in keeping with the IHG accounting manual for full service hotels and with the support of the Director, Finance & Business Support. Uphold IHG standards for internal controls and support and champion a constant drive for continued improvement in financial performance whilst maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction and employee engagement.

WHAT IS THE JOB
•   Ensure that colleagues are properly on-boarded to the business through training on finance systems such as PeopleSoft, FoodBuy, UKG and Tyalls as required.
Actively develop the financial acumen of department managers and the finance team through monthly finance meetings and other on job training opportunities.
Support Director, Finance & Business Support with the performance management process.
Liaise with Cluster Payroll Specialist to ensure that payroll is being processed correctly
•   Champion CSA culture and awareness within our processes and look for opportunities to create efficient & compliant business processes.
•   Complete all necessary financial reporting tasks in a timely and accurate manner, including month end closure, daily revenue reporting, processing of payroll and accounts payable, forecasting and budgeting.
•   Maintain a reconciled general ledger at all times including bank accounts, ensuring prompt action is taken to correct any variances or clear outstanding balances and liaising with IHG Corporate accounting as required.
•   Engage department managers in the forecasting & budgeting process to ensure consistency and accuracy

WHAT WE NEED FORM YOU
•   Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Accounting and Finance
•   At least 3 years’ experience in hotel accounting or audit with at least 1 years in an Assistant Controller or similar supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and work- related experience
•   Knowledge of accounting management duties including negotiating hotel space and tenant leases; processing payroll; performing asset management duties; providing business projections, displacement analysis, preparing government reports, filing tax returns etc
•   Professional accounting or finance designation or certification preferred.
