From the moment a guests steps into our hotel, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. As a Front Office Supervisor, you’ll provide support to line colleagues as well as Front Office Leadership to ensure the smooth running of Front Office Operations. You’ll also create the warm atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home in any location.

A little taste of your day-to-day:   

Guest Experience 

  • Ensure the Front Office Team delivers InterContinental Brand Standard
  • Ensure all guests receive personalised experience – taking the time to engage with guests 
  • Ensure appreciated recognition is provided to our most exclusive guests, IHG One Reward members & InterContinental Ambassadors
  • Respond appropriately to guests’ complaints, solicit feedback and build relationships to drive continuous improvement in guests’ satisfaction


People

  • Manage day-to-day staffing and foresee staffing needs, plan and assign work 
  • Ensure the Front Office Team are trained on systems, service and quality standards
  • Provide regular feedback to improve team member performance
  • Act as a role model to all employees, showing a positive approach to team spirit through team support and communication


Financial

  • Maintain cost conscious and adaptable to business need
  • To be responsible for accurate financials transactions and use of correct procedures 
  • Ensuring accurate daily reporting of all transaction received and perform audit balances


Responsible Business

  • Check guests billing instructions and guest credit for compliance with hotel credit policy and ensure all transactions are handled in a secure manner 
  • Cooperate and partner in the implementation of workplace health, safety and wellbeing related initiatives​​
  • Participate in investigations of injuries and illnesses arising from workplace activities. Recommend corrective actions to prevent or minimise the chance of recurrence​​
  • Facilitate the reporting of workplace hazards​​
  • Other ad-hoc duties - unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done ​​
     


What we need from you

  • Experienced – ideally you’ve have spent at least 2 years  in a front desk or guest service position and one year in supervisory or team leader position
  • Bachelor’s degree/ higher education qualification or equivalent in Hotel Manager or Business Administration 
  • Communication skills – guest will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you’ll be easy to talk to
  • Your problem solving skills will turn issues into opportunities so every guests leaves with great memories 
  • Fluency in English – extra language skills would be great, but not essential 
  • Flexibility– night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job
  • Compliant – you’ll be above minimum age required.
  • Strong – sometimes you’ll need to lift, push, pull big objects up to 23kgs.
  • Literate and Tech-Savvy – you’ll need a good grasp of reading, writing, basic maths and computers.
