IHG Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a dynamic leader to join the new InterContinental Indianapolis team as Director of Revenue Management. The InterContinental Indianapolis will be a 170-room luxurious, first-class destination serving visitors to Indianapolis as well as the city’s robust business industry with an anticipated opening date in late 2024. Following a complete transformation, InterContinental Indianapolis will include 5,000 square feet of meeting space, world-class Astrea 216 seat rooftop bar experiences, and Serliana Lounge amenities. Guests will discover touches of subtle luxury and a refined ambiance throughout their experience.

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Revenue Management to lead and implement strategic pricing, market, and revenue management initiatives for our hotel. The successful candidate will play a key role in maximizing revenue through effective utilization of systems, business processes, and industry best practices.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct weekly Revenue Management Meetings, providing insights on current booking periods and leading discussions on future strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Department to optimize meeting space usage, ensuring maximum revenue contribution for both Rooms and Banquet services.
  • Manage room and function space inventory, allocating and restricting inventory for optimal revenue and profit.
  • Work closely with the Sales team on group rates, dates, and patterns, steering towards optimal time frames for the hotel.
  • Prepare and present reports for hotel leadership, corporate teams, and ownership, demonstrating progress toward forecasted goals.
  • Establish pricing levels in all segments and actively monitor group blocks for room availability.
  • Monitor competitor strategies, analyze market dynamics, and present action plans to management.
  • Assist in the annual hotel budget development and ongoing results analysis.
  • Guide and train the Reservations and Front Desk teams to achieve Revenue Optimization.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to address consistent issues and trends.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Revenue Management leadership role.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to lift items up to 25 pounds and use various property management and reservations systems.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances.
  • Understanding of microeconomics as it applies to the hotel business.
  • Proficient in effective hotel pricing concepts, yield management optimization, and selling strategies.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with revenue management software.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and training abilities.
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and ability to travel as needed.


Accountability: This role is accountable for managing the hotel’s revenue-related strategies, achieving and exceeding RevPAR Index and RevPAR goals, primarily in a full-service, luxury, or resort setting with catering and/or convention facilities.
