To work with a clear understanding of the standards, core values, visions and goals of Kempinski and Kempinski The Spa.  

 

To ensure clients receive requested treatments and follow-up recommendations according to the spa’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies.  

Key Responsibilities

• Oversees and supervises the gym, gym equipment and its users.
• Completes area task lists and follows SOPs
• Welcomes guests in a friendly manner and provides orientation of equipment for new users or as requested.
• Leads, instructs and motivates individuals or groups in exercise activities, including cardiovascular exercise, strength training, and stretching.
•  Organizes and directs health and fitness programmes for guests of all ages.
• Works one-on-one with guests in the gym. 
• Assists guests to assess their level of physical fitness, and set and reach fitness goals. 
• Demonstrates various exercises and helps guests improve their exercise techniques. 
• Keeps records of guests’ exercise sessions to monitor progress. 
• Ensures guests utilizing the gym facilities receive excellent customer service, resolving issues promptly, and providing support and assistance in a timely manner
• Enforces gym rules and regulations, equipment usage schedules, and general use of facility amenities.
• Sets up and takes down gym equipment where applicable, ensuring that all equipment is clean and stored securely when not in use.
• Keeps the gym area and equipment clean, neat and orderly. 
• Oversees the maintenance and up keep (servicing) of all gymnasium equipment. 
• Reports immediately any malfunctioning equipment to the Spa Director, ensuring such equipment is clearly labelled or removed from the operation for the safety and comfort of guests. 
• Ensure sufficient supplies are available at all times such as water, drinking cups, towels and first aid equipment. 
• Answers the telephone, obtains and delivers telephone messages.
•  First aid equipment is to be checked weekly to ensure a sufficient par stock. 
• Addresses guest by name at least once in every conversation where possible. 
•  Manages customer feedback effectively to ensure continuous service, handling any complaints or reporting to the Spa Director if unable to resolve. 
•  Reports any incidences/accidents to the Spa Director and completes the necessary paperwork.
•   Handles any lost and found items as per policy. 
• Ensure all hazards are reported to the Spa Director and corrective action is taken accordingly. 
• Fully understands the properties fire, emergency procedures.
•  Ensure employees work in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or others.
•  Ensures the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, appearance, body language and conduct, is maintained by all employees in the department.

•   Maintains working environment, materials and company property in an organized, clean and orderly manner.
•  Attends meetings and trainings when required.
•  Contributes to Client satisfaction by attending requests and enquiries courteously and efficiently.
•  Accepts flexible work schedules when necessary to provide uninterrupted service to Clients and stakeholders.
• Continuously seeks to improve the department's efficient operation and knowledge of own job function.
• Is well updated, and possesses solid knowledge on all relevant policies and procedures related to the Recreation department’s function.
•  In addition to the specified responsibilities, the position will willing undertake any other additional assignments/responsibilities as assigned by the management.
• Assist with the training and development of Saudi Arabia Nationals.
