Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for conducting gym classes (i.e. Aerobic) and providing personal training for both hotel guests and members as per the standards set by Kempinski.  


Key Responsibilities

•          Is responsible for the safety of all guests and employees using the Fitness Center.
•         Exhibits sensitivity to guest’s needs and cultural differences.
•         Motivates guests to adhere to a fitness program and achieve goals.
•         Evaluates the guest’s physical fitness level.
•         Develops a fitness program for the guest.
•         Teaches exercise classes to the guests.  Coordinates timetable and updates it regularly.
•         Monitors the progress for the guest's fitness program.
•          Assists members in the Fitness Center with use of equipment.
•          Always be in top physical condition.
•         Prepares the fitness department equipment and supplies daily.
•         Stays up-dated on the latest developments pertinent to the department and becomes            well-versed and trained in their usage.
•         Ensures a pleasant visit for each guest.
•         Maintains effective guest relations.
•         Performs special projects delegated by the manager and/or director.
•        Performs whatever is necessary to ensure and maintain a pleasant visit for each guest,          and have enough towels and water supply for guests.
•         Conducts tours of the facility.
•         Maintains cleanliness and neatness of the facility, especially after guest use.
•          Takes inventory of the Fitness Center every month.
•         Maintains appropriate standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, uniform, appearance and          posture, as well as all personnel involved in the Fitness Center operation or under                     his/her supervision.
•          Maintain all equipment. Notify to the Fitness Manager or his/her delegates of any                   damages or losses.
•         Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance            with established company policies and procedures to achieve overall objectives of this             position.
•          To understand and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the                        Employees Handbook and the Hotel’s policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health & Safety.
•        To ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported and rectified immediately.
•         To understand and strictly adhere to the Hotel’s Employee rules & regulations.
•         To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag at all times.
•          Performs any other duties as assigned to him/her by management.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Experience:
  3-5 years experience in a Fitness Center as a Gym Instructor.

Education:
High School Graduate, Diploma in Health and Fitness, Specialty courses for Fitness Classes, Program Development etc.
