About the job
As a Assistant Restaurant Reservations Manager in Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, you will be responsible for
- Handle reservations and enquiries for all hotel restaurants and bars in a friendly and professional manner
- Work closely with restaurant managers to maximise the restaurant capacities ensuing a smooth service flow and support to achieve the financial targets of the restaurants
- Recognize regular and VIP guests and record all guest’s preference in the table management system / guest database
- Answer incoming calls and enquires in accordance with hotel’s service standard
- Supervise the restaurant reservations centre and ensure the smooth running of the operations to attain maximum guest satisfaction
- Ensure that the table management system is updated correctly and efficiently
- Support the management of the online shop, cooperate with our Marketing Communications Team, Kitchen and Pastry Team as well as the delivery team
- Handle in other ad hoc projects as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years' working experience in hotel, with at least 2 years on supervisory or managerial level in luxury hospitality environment
- Telephone service experience is essential
- Familiar with table reservation system
- Strong managerial skills in terms of people management, work flow planning
- Drives for result and knowledge of cost control and budgeting
- Passionate in providing luxury customer service
- Good problem solving and guest complaint handling skills
- Fluent in written and oral communications in English, Cantonese and Chinese, knowledge of other languages is a plus
