Scope Of Position

Plan, prioritise, assign, supervise, train, review and participate in the work of staff responsible for maintenance of the M&E and HVAC and Refrigeration plant and equipment including repair and installation of all electronic, electric, pneumatic refrigeration and mechanical equipment.

Build rota for Duty Engineers and make sure shift patterns are covered,

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish inventory, schedules, and methods for providing maintenance and repair services; identify resource needs; review needs with appropriate management staff, allocate resources accordingly
  • Perform the more technical and complex tasks of the work unit including purchasing of all maintenance and repair equipment and supplies, and seeking any other required assistance within engineering department to fulfil duties
  • Participate and support in the development and implementation of policies and procedures and new hotel initiatives and working practices
  • Monitor work activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures; maintain all records as required, make recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards and procedures
  • Recommend and assist in the implementation of goals and objectives; implement approved SOP’s
  • To be responsible for efficiently carrying out maintenance, repair and replacement work assigned by the Engineering Management and to the standards required, ensuring that engineering principles and safety procedures are adhered to.
  • To work closely with the Engineering Management to carry out all other duties assigned in accordance with established policies and procedures as well as to the operation schedule
  • Ensure all plant, machinery etc. for the Hotel and its associated demises is maintained according to Manufacturer’s Guidelines, Planned Preventative Maintenance Schedules, applicable Regulations, Policies and Procedures and requirements under FLHSSE
  • Maintain level of training both internal and external for self and other under your supervision to carry out tasks to the latest requirements and legislation
  • To perform the duties of a supervisor in relation to man management, timekeeping, performance review, administration, etc.
  • Perform other duties as required and requested by your manager


Experience and qualifications

  • Has the functional and technical knowledge and the skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment which includes motivating and driving for results.
  • Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances.
  •  Developing people to meet both their career goals and the organisational goals
  • Applicant must have a degree or diploma on Mechanical or Electric field.
  • Able to read electric and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience on similar role.
  • Speaking, writing, and reading English and Greek language.


Health And Safety

  • To be aware of, and comply with, safe working practices as laid down under the Health and Safety Local code and Company H & S Manual, as applicable to your place of work. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards at your workplace
  • To be aware of and comply with Food Acts.
  • To wear any appropriate protective clothing provided by or recommended by the Resort.
  • To report any defects in the building, plant, or equipment according to the Resort procedures.
  • To ensure any accidents to colleagues, guests or visitors are reported in accordance with Resort procedures.
  • To attend 6 monthly statutory fire training and to be fully conversant with and abide by all rules concerning, fire, health & safety.
  • To attend any training deemed appropriate by your Head of Department.
  • Any other reasonable request as required by your manager appropriate for this position and to comply with all the MOHG policies and procedures.
