Building Successful Relationships that Generate Sales Opportunities

  • Work collaboratively with off-property sales channels to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary and not duplicative.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. 
  • Develop relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.
  • Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop, coordinate and implement social media initiatives as well as food & beverage promotional programs. 
  • Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally.


Managing Sales Activities

  • Answer guest questions about property facilities/services (e.g., hours of operation, packages, promotions, entertainment, restaurants, special events). 
  • Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to the hotel.
  • Recognize opportunities to up-sell the customer and sell enhancements to create a better Marriott experience or event.
  • Participate in entertainment, trade shows, sales calls with members of F&B team or sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.
  • Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).
  • Develop, implement and execute the revenue and marketing programs for all outlets and room service. 


Using Knowledge of Market Trends and Target Customer Information to Maximize Revenue

  • Identify new business to achieve personal and location revenue goals.
  • Understand the overall food & beverage market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and know how to sell against them.
  • Close the best opportunities for the location based on market conditions and location needs.
  • Gain understanding of the location’s primary target customer and service expectations; serve the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution.


Providing Exceptional Customer Service 

  • Support the company’s service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
  • Service our customers in order to grow share of the account.
  • Execute and support the company’s customer service standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service consistent with the daily service basics of the company.
  • Set a positive example for guest relations.
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.


Communication & Working with Others

  • Speak to guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language.
  • Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
  • Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.
  • Handle sensitive issues with associates and/or guests with tact, respect, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
  • Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with other associates and departments.

  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.
  • Follow company and department policies and procedures.
  • Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
  • Uphold the company’s Cares culture by demonstrating the Star Service Standards at all times to guests and fellow associates.
  • Personally ensure compliance with all relevant Workplace Health & Safety and Occupational Health & Safety rules and related Sheraton and company’s Policies.
  • Align management style, working practices and conduct with Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers’ Vision, Corporate Values and policies. To comply with Sheraton’s Code of Conduct at all times.
  • Be well versed and knowledgeable of Sheraton Fire and Evacuation procedures as well as health and safety requirements in the Workplace.  Ensure employees are aware of their duty of care as determined by legislation and that they maintain complete familiarity.
