Rosewood Vienna opened in August 2022 as the brand’s fifth property in Europe. Housed in an historic 19th century building which was the former headquarters for Erste Group Bank AG, Rosewood Vienna is ideally situated on Petersplatz, one of the most famous squares in Vienna’s Old Town. Located just steps away from the city’s most luxurious shopping and dining and its most famous historical sites, Rosewood Vienna serves as an unsurpassed gateway to one of Europe’s most charming destinations. Rosewood Vienna combines the best of European architecture and design with a refined yet modern style. The hotel offers 100 spacious guestrooms and suites, all of which will feature separate spaces for entertainment and relaxation. The contemporary accommodations merges the past and present through a thoughtful combination of elegant textural and artistic elements and the latest technological features. The project’s design was overseen by A2K Architects and BEHF Corporate Architects in Austria and the London-based Alexander Waterworth Interiors firm. The property features a variety of dining and entertainment options, including a rooftop bar with exceptional views of the city and an intimate restaurant in a garden setting serving European cuisine and carefully crafted beverages appealing to guests and locals alike. Rosewood Vienna also features Sense, A Rosewood Spa, which serves as a private sanctuary for relaxation away from the busy sights and sounds of the city. Additionally, the hotel includes meetings and events spaces to allow for a variety of private gatherings and conferences.

This is what we entrust you with:
- Responsibility for day-to-day accounting transactions as well as the preparation of statistics, forecasts, budgets, monthly and annual financial statements
- Ongoing reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Ensuring and complying with legal requirements and accounting guidelines, as well as preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with USALI and the Austrian Commercial Code (UGB)
- Managing and supporting the Finance, Purchasing and IT departments
- Supporting and coordinating the departments in the preparation of monthly P&Ls
- Holding monthly P&L meetings
- Budget preparation and control
- Preparation of monthly corporate reports and ensuring that deadlines are met
- Taking on projects for the further development of the finance department and the internal control system
- Develop and lead a financial and accounting strategy to optimize the company's financial performance and strategic position in conjunction with the hotel's business strategy
- Responsibility for the company's cash management policies
- Oversee risk management policies and procedures
- Manage all contracts and other financial commitments
What you bring to the team:
- You have at least 3 years of a similar leading position in finance preferably in the hospitality industry
- Knowledge of SUN Systems, Birchstreet, Opera, Simphony and Fairmas is an advantage
- Strategic, analytical thinking is not new territory for you
- You have a very good command of German and English and enjoy using them
- You are reliable, able to multitask and have a talent for coordination
