ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reach and exceed yearly events budget as well as upsell target as assigned.
  • Work closely with the MICE sales team, offering advice regarding logistics to assist in lead conversion and key opportunities, in an effort to maximize hotel revenue.
  • Support and advise Events Planning team on managing group bookings, both with and without events, from contract handover to completion, including food & beverage and bedroom elements.
  • Manage an informative handover with the MICE sales team and Event Sales team for a seamless and timely introduction to the client.
  • Qualify additional event space requests while balancing and maintaining appreciation of overall business with price integrity.
  • Plan all event and hotel experience details with the clients - including set-up, food and beverage selection, menu tastings, audio visual needs, equipment rental, supplier details &/or referral, guestroom reservations, transportation, recreational activities, etc. – and anticipate client needs while making suggestions to create a unique and memorable experience.
  • Recognize upselling opportunities with Events Planning team to actively maximize revenue in all areas (e.g. increasing average check, upselling additional food and beverage, meeting room rental, transportation, Spa).


REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in a sizeable luxury hotel and catering group with 2 years in similar capacity
  • Detail oriented, organized and able to handle a fast-paced environment
  • Possess excellent guest services skills, professional presentation and sophisticated interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal bilingual communication skills is a must (both English and Chinese)
