Our Headquarter office is now looking for Assistant Vice President/Senior Manager, Rooms (Project) to join our Corporate Rooms team to manage the development activities and programmes across the Group to ensure all our properties meet the Shangri-La standard. This role will play a pivotal role in all new projects, and will be the key person to coordinate between different departments, including but not limited to Projects & Design team, Commercial teams, Investment & Asset Management team and Hotel Operations, ensuring smooth operations at all times and creating a great experience to our guests and employees.

As Assistant Vice President/Senior Manager, Rooms (Project), we will rely on you to:

  • Work closely with Project & Design team on all new projects and provide input on all property-related operational needs
  • Prepare Rooms Provisional Matrix, Back of House, Horizon Club and Guest Arrival Experience brief
  • Review, develop and endorse Back of House and Front of House layout, schematic design, equipment list etc in detail to ensure all operational and functional needs are taken care of
  • Create, review and update room mix chart and architectural layout plan for new properties
  • Prepare preliminary manning plan, first version of linen par based on occupancy forecast
  • Participate in orientations for General Managers and Project Transition Managers for new projects
  • Monitor project status and flag any possible delay by coordinating and liaising with Project & Design Team and Hotel Operation Team
  • Keep Project & Design team updated on all new and/or upcoming operational changes
  • Develop and research new innovations and technology in industry for guestrooms and public areas
  • Work closely with Vice President, Rooms and functional experts in the Corporate Rooms team on all new initiatives and projects


We are looking for someone who has:

  • Solid experience in supporting Rooms (Housekeeping & Front Office) function in a dual-brand hotel pre and post opening projects
  • Relevant work experience gained from Regional, Corporate and/ or Global hospitality groups with multiple brands, expertise in Rooms with hands-on experience in Front Office and Housekeeping operations experience is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of with Hotel Equipment Operating Supply (HEOS), Furniture Fixture and Equipment (FF&E) and latest hotel technology is highly preferred
  • Strong Project Management skills with experience working with Designers and onsite Project team
  • Detail-minded, sensitive to numbers, with the ability to spot any potential issues in design standards, floor plans and various financial information in all project plans at an early stage
  • Strong problem-solving and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to connect with colleagues across all levels from all over the world
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese)
