We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Events Sales Manager to join our team at The Stafford London Hotel.

About the role, what will I be doing?

The Events Sales Manager oversees all the Events Sales within The Stafford London and private dining room at sister restaurant Norma. This role has one direct report, an Events Coordinator and works closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing, Hotel Manager, Executive Chefs, Banqueting team and communicates with all departments. This is an onsite role with 4 days based at The Stafford London and 1 day at Norma. Managing the Events diary, converting enquiries into definite bookings, conducting site inspections, managing relationships with repeat and key accounts, the Events Sales Manager is also responsible for forecasting the Events revenue.

To meet and aim to exceed financial targets set for Events sales.
Working with the Events Coordinator, promptly react to all incoming event enquiries, aiming to convert it to a confirmed booking that will increase sales.
Manage the operational and logistical planning of all events from original enquiry through to following up for client feedback upon completion of their event.
Carry out all communication with clients via telephone, email and face to face in a way that upholds our service standards.
Regular communication with kitchen, reservations, operations and front of house teams to keep them updated regarding pre-orders and operational requirements/expectations for each event.
Display creativity and innovation when handling all bookings whilst following standard procedures.
Carry out site inspections with clients interested in our spaces.
Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and outside contacts in order to generate new events business.
Proactively identify and secure new business collaborating with the sales team.
Follow up on all new prospective clients with one-to-one meetings.
Maintain the CRM database to develop customer profiles and drive post visit actions.
To host the weekly Function Sheet Meeting with the operational team, updating them on the next 7 days
To attend the weekly revenue meeting with forecasts for the next 3 months.
Manage staff performance in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Recruit, manage, train and develop the Events Coordinator.

About you

Who are we looking for?
Previous experience in luxury events hotel sales is essential.
Excellent organisational and planning skills.
To have a proven sales track record with the knowledge and experience to sell event spaces.
Motivated, tenacious and self-reliant with the drive and determination to succeed on a daily basis.
An effective and professional communicator with the ability to lead from the front and who is able to motivate others to achieve their target and goals.
Understanding of Excel, Word and Power point is necessary.
Understanding of Opera programmes would be an advantage, but not essential.
Excellent standards of personal presentation.
