As Head of Aviation Fleet Planning & Adhoc Sales BENE you are responsible for the short and mid-term fleet development and management. including the responsibility for commercializing TUI Western Region’s non-commercially utilized fleet (through Adhoc Sales and lease-out).

 

It requires strong internal and external stakeholder management skiills and has the potential to have direct and noticeable impact on the company’s financial result, operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

 

In this role you will report into the Director Trading & Aviation. 

 

ABOUT THE JOB
In this role you will be responsible for:
•    TUI Western Region fleet utilisation and optimization and Short- to Mid-term fleet development & management;
•    Planning, ensuring and implementing seasonal lease-in capacity to complement TUI’s own fleet whenever required through optimal collaboration with the External Capacity Management (ECM) department of TUI Airline;
•    Procurement and implementation of tactical lease-in capacity whenever needed;
•    Coordinating the planning strategy through the triangle TUI Airline – TUI Western Region – Aviation Planning in order to enable the Director Trading Aviation to determine the optimal planning strategy;
•    Ensuring the most effective overall execution of the planning strategy as set by Director Trading & Aviation by managing the interfaces between the different strategic and operational stakeholders throughout the same triangle;
•    Leading internal (for fleet development and management, for ECM collaboration and for coordination and execution of the planning strategy) and external (for Adhoc Sales, lease-out and tactical lease-in) negotiations and end-to-end project management in cooperation with strategic suppliers and customers across the world;
•    Effectively lead, manage, develop & motivate a team of 34 persons.

ABOUT YOU
•    Master degree and 5-10 years of experience across strategic, operational, commercial and international functions within aviation;   
•    Demonstrable experience and sound understanding of the international airline and fleet management industry;
•    First class communication skills with a proven ability to successfully influence, negotiate and engage a wide range of stakeholders at all levels, taking into account international and cultural differences;
•    Ability to quickly and effectively build senior-level relationships in an international environment;
•    Proven leadership skills with demonstrable practical experience of driving results with and through an international team
•    Highly numerate and analytical competent with a keen eye for detail;
•    Ability to think strategically, proactively and project based and to coordinate across functions and regions;
•    A logical thinker with the ability to generate ideas and alternatives;
•    Highly organized & used to working to deadlines in a busy and ever-changing environment;
•    Ability to operate effectively in an ambiguous, fast paced, constantly changing environment;

•    The colleagues are based in Belgium and the Netherlands, therefor we expect you to speak Dutch and English fluently.
