As a Training Officer you will be ………….

• Identifying training and development needs within the hotel through job analysis, appraisal reviews and regular consultation with supervisors/managers and colleagues.
• Designing and expanding training and development programmes based on both the hotel's and the individual's needs
• Considering the costs of planned development programmes and keeping within budgets and assessing the return on investment of any training or development programme.
• Working in a team to produce programmes that are satisfactory to all relevant parties in an organisation, such as line managers, accountants and senior managers at board level
• Developing an effective induction programmes and update the information regularly.
• Producing training materials for in-house training courses (presentation, guide, activities, etc)
• Managing the delivery of training and development programmes, keep records of trainings and measure training success through feedback and on-the-job performance.
• Ensuring that the yearly statutory training programs are conducted to all colleagues.
• Evaluating training and development programmes through feedback, assessment, on-the-job performance and guest feedback matrix.
• Amending and revising training programmes as necessary, in order to adapt to new changes occurring in the work environment.
• Helping line managers/supervisors and department trainers solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups.
• Keeping up to date with developments in training by reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses.
• Prepare the monthly, quarterly and yearly training plan and follow-up the implementation of the programs.
• Assist Departmental skills trainers in achieving training objectives & review their training performance on a monthly basis
• Attend the in-house on-the-job trainings conducted by other inhouse department trainers for support, guidance and feedback.
• Prepare, organize, administer and conduct in-house training courses like new associates orientation, Grooming & Hygiene, Telephone etiquette, service culture etc.
• Ensure the learning & development information board is updated, well maintained and informative in terms of content and look.
• Ensure all colleagues have knowledge of the hotel products and services, regular assessment is conducted.
• Organize colleagues’ social events/sport activities, environmental initiatives and support others while organizing such events.
• Update the learning & development master database and prepare the month report as per the requested by the department head.
• Role model the Gloria service standard behaviors.
• Handle external training company requirements to facilitate external trainings as per the need of the departments.
• Work with other team members and colleagues of other departments with collaboration and harmony.

About you

* The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two years’ experience in the hotel industry with proven record, good communication skills (oral and written English) & interpersonal skills, and with training analysis skills background.
* He/she have good understanding of hotel departments function;
* Can implement training modules based on the training required;
* Excellent ability to deal with different nationalities;
* Excellent in power point presentation and reporting;
* Excellent in planning and organization of training calendar to achieve results;
