As the Company’s most senior leader in Marketing, this position is accountable for global brand performance, increasing awareness, and for aligning brand growth objectives with a supporting marketing strategy. This role will be responsible for leading the corporate marketing team, clearly differentiating the brand from its competitors, and driving desirability through creative storytelling, brand visuals, activations, partnerships, and programming.  The ideal candidate will be high energy with the ability to motivate, cultivate and mentor our high-performance team through the Viceroy lens. This position will be based in New York, New York. 

General Responsibilities Include:

  • Own the overarching brand strategy, including audience insights, segmentation, targeting & positioning.
  • Identify differentiators throughout brand and individual hotels to create compelling and cohesive programs and messaging.
  • In partnership with relevant functional leads, build and manage innovative and effective 360° global marketing campaigns (media, PR, social media, influence, partnerships, events, openings, CRM, etc.)
  • Implement the brand strategy through differentiated and impactful marketing campaigns across all markets and key identified targets.
  • Continuously improve marketing campaigns by understanding, and where applicable, taking advantage of new communication channels, technologies, evolving marketing platforms and emerging trends
  • Develop and implement a guest journey/ experience to support brand positioning, concretely strengthen its competitive advantage and generate value for all stakeholders.
  • Help define operational standards of the brand and their implementation within the hotels.
  • Monitor KPIs to ensure the impact of actions carried out (customer satisfaction, ROI, reputation, market share...) and ensure their continuous improvement.
  • Guide the marketing plans of individual hotels so they are aligned with the brand voice and guest journey.


Qualification Standards:

  • Previous senior leadership experience in similar role in a luxury/lifestyle hospitality company
  • Previous experience working with third party ownership groups required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think critically, objectively, and analytically; with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.  MBA a plus.
  • International experience required.
