Job Description

  • Check and post Goods Receive Notes for the system.
  • Entering the invoices into the system in a timely manner.
  • Send the invoices for payments.
  • Make petty cash payments for the direct purchases.
  • Setting up vendor accounts and reconciling transactions on a regular basis. 
  • Maintaining vendor accounts & related files.
  • Keeping track of every transaction and logging detail system and ensuring payments are up-to-date. 
  • Post the transactions to journals and ledgers on time.
  • Prepare for the sales commission.
  • Make a statement for all third parties.
  • Maintaining the document file of debit notes, credit notes, invoices, payments, statements, commissions, & remittances.
  • Prepare input tax 
  • Check and verify the current account of the resort, which is maintained at the head office.
  • Provide supporting documents for various audits.


General Responsibilities

  • Participate in monthly stock taking and inventory valuation.
  • Check all inventory valuations, other than food & beverage, to ensure they are complete and accurate.
  • Analyze housekeeping, powerhouse, desalination, printing stationery, and other consumable expenses and allocate them to applicable cost centers.
  • Prepare journal entries for all sales and monthly charges, e.g., depreciation, insurance, opening and closing entries for inventories, direct costs, and other costs, & make adjustment entries where necessary.
  • Get approval from the chief accountant and make entries to the general ledger.
  • Enter all revenues, expenditures, contract payments, accruals, and prepayments into the ACCPAC Accounting System only after ensuring corrections and completeness and obtaining approval from the Chief Accountant.
  • Extract a trial balance, profit and loss, and other reports of monthly accounts from the ACCPAC accounting system and review them with the accountant.
  • Prepare reconciliation’s for all balance sheet accounts.



Qualifications

  • A degree, or equivalent professional qualifications, in the accounting and finance field.
  • Continuously expanding your functional and technical domain knowledge is a very important part of being at IFS.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (MS Excel is mandatory) with a background in MS Outlook.
  • Proficient in using ERP applications.
  • Knowledgeable in internal controls.
  • Exceptional time-management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent English communication, both written and verbal.
