Real Hotels Group

Real Hotels Group results from the merger, in 2020, of two national hotel groups, the owners of the REAL brand and NEWPALM, operator of IHG’s Holiday Inn Express, becoming the largest merger of the Portuguese hotel industry in last decade, with 16 hotels and 2,100 rooms, spread over Lisbon, Porto and Algarve.

REAL hotels emerged in the 90s, when the world was ruled by change and globalization and, contrary to all trends, a team of professionals led by João Bernardino Gomes, bet on Portugal and Excellence, giving rise to the REAL hotel group, opening its first unit in the center of Lisbon, the Real Parque Hotel, which has become one of the reference hotels in the capital. In 2019 the Group already had 10 hotels in Portugal.

HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS Hotels were born in 2009, being the vision of the brand to establish itself in the main cities of the country, having arrived in 2019 with 6 hotels in Lisbon and Porto. PALMINVEST is considered one of the hotel groups with the highest investment growth in Portugal and the main partner of InterContinental Hotels Group in the region.

With the merger, we also make history and keep pace with its evolution.
