Course overview
Humber’s Baking and Pastry Arts Management two-year diploma program will prepare you for a dynamic career in the hospitality industry. Using our state-of-the-art labs, you will learn how to create impressive and delicious baked goods and confections such as:

What you will learn
During the first year of the program, you will learn the fundamentals of baking and pastry and develop valuable skills, creating baked goods and desserts that are both delicious and eye-appealing. During your second year, you will learn the more complex and artistic elements of pastry including confectionery arts and chocolate work, practising both traditional and contemporary techniques. Throughout the program, essential skills in safety and sanitation, time management and organization, professionalism, and teamwork will be developed. In each course, you will learn about the career opportunities within this specialized field.
This program will also give you in-depth knowledge about bakery management and entrepreneurship, career readiness, computers and technology in the hospitality industry, as well as general education and communications skills.
