Meet your Course Expert
Dr Milena Parent
Milena Parent is an associate professor in sport management in the School of Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa, as well as at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences.
She holds a Young Researcher Award from the University of Ottawa (2009) and her research focuses on organization theory and strategic management, primarily in the context of major sport events (e.g., the Pan American Games, the Games of La Francophonie, FINA World Aquatics Championships, the Youth Olympic Games, and the Olympic Games).
Dr Benoit Seguin
Benoît Séguin is an Associate Professor in sport management, specializing in sport marketing. He obtained his PhD in 2003 from the University of Strasbourg in France. His doctorate research was funded by the International Olympic Committee and examined the issue of ambush marketing and its impact on the Olympic brand.
Dr Séguin is a Past President of Diving Canada, a member of the Canadian Olympic Committee and Vice-President of the Aquatic Federation of Canada. Dr Séguin has been a facilitator of the Canadian Olympic Academy since 2002 and is a regular supervising professor at the International Olympic Academy in Olympia, Greece.
