Join the culinary team at JW Marriott Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa through a 12-month J-1 Intern or Trainee Programme. Participants will gain hands-on experience in a luxury hospitality environment while developing their culinary knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Preparing and presenting high-quality dishes
  • Assisting with food preparation and daily kitchen operations
  • Following recipes, portion standards and presentation guidelines
  • Maintaining excellent hygiene and food-safety standards
  • Supporting chefs during busy service periods
  • Keeping workstations clean, organised and properly stocked
  • Working collaboratively with an international culinary team

We are looking for motivated culinary graduates or hospitality professionals who are passionate about food, eager to learn and committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

  • Number of positions: 3
  • $19/Hour Earn approximately $3,300+/month based on $19/hour at 40 hours/week.
  • The employer provides a 14-day hotel stay upon arrival. Housing referrals and assistance are also provided. Shared accommodation averages approximately $500 per person per month. Participants should be prepared to pay a deposit equal to approximately two months’ rent.

About you

You qualify if…
  • Intern: currently enrolled or graduated within the past 12 months from a post-secondary institution
  • Trainee: degree + 1 year related experience, OR 5 years of related work experience
  • Conversational English, comfortable in a U.S. professional environment
  • Typically 20 to 35 years old at time of program
  • Valid passport (required 6+ months past program end)
  • Sufficient funds to cover travel, fees, and initial settling-in costs

What you'll need

  • Proof of academic status (interns)
  • Post-secondary Diploma / Certificate / Degree OR Work Experience Letters proving five years of professional experience in the field (trainees)
  • Work Experience Letter proving 1+ year of experience in the field
  • Scanned passport bio page
  • Financial Security Statement
