Human Resources Officer

As a Human Resources Officer at Eastern & Oriental Express, a Belmond Train, you will be responsible for delivering overall support to various functions of the Human Resources department with responsibilities which include processing employee data & keeping employee records up to date, facilitating processes which align with company policies, administering employee benefits and assisting in the hiring and onboarding process. Primary Responsibilities include,

• Provide support to Employees and Management on daily Human Resource related queries.
• Responsible for all Human Resources administration and maintaining accurate records of personnel-related data which includes the administration of employee records, new joiners, terminations, status changes, birthday cards, long service milestone letters, filing etc.
• Communicate and coordinate with other departments effectively to support the Human Resources & business workflow.
• Support with and roll out Human Resources initiatives and projects.
• Support the recruitment process by creating job adverts, sourcing candidates, organising interviews, assisting in shortlisting, interviewing candidates and ensuring that all employment requirements are met.
• Provide current and prospective Employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, Employee benefits and general Human Resources queries.
• Assist with the preparation, implementation and delivery of Learning & Development initiatives as required.
• Support and coordinate Employee events, wellness days and special occasions (Employee party, Employee awards evening and farewells etc.).
• Travel to our products for any onsite Human Resources related matters (including employee relations, onboarding, induction, training and welfare events). This will include traveling at times that meet the needs of the operational teams pre, mid and post season.

Eastern & Oriental Express is relaunching on February 19, 2024. • Previous experience in luxury hospitality experience
• Knowledge of local employment laws, employee relations, and HR best practices.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional and polished appearance
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays

Experience in the hospitality industry is a bonus, but not a necessity. You could be from an independent restaurant or bar, have worked in luxury retail or private villas, or be a tour guide.
