Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties and responsibilities are aligned with the Resort Nurse's accountability and expectations within the resort environment, ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical care, prompt response to emergencies, effective management of the clinic, and adherence to health, safety, and operational standards while supporting both guests and staff.

Responsibilities and duties for this position shall include, but not be limited to, the following areas and activities. At management discretion, directions may be given for tasks outside the scope of work described.

1. Clinical Care:
   • Provide first aid and primary medical care for guests and employees.
   • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and coordinate evacuation if required.
   • Assist the Resort Doctor (if available) in diagnosis, treatment, and follow-ups.
   • Administer medications and basic treatments within scope of practice.
   • Coordinate with local hospitals or authorities for advanced medical care when needed.
   • Train staff in first aid, CPR, and emergency procedures.
2. Clinic Management:
   • Maintain and manage the resort clinic, including medical supplies and equipment inventory.
   • Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
   • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for guests and employees.
   • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly medical reports.
   • Ensure proper documentation of incidents, treatments, and accidents.
   • Coordinate medical appointments, referrals, and evacuations.
   • Promote health awareness and wellness programs for staff.

    

    

 

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution, RN Registered Nurse
• Valid Nursing License/Registration in Maldives Nursing Council.
• Certification in BLS / ACLS / First Aid preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of clinical or hospital experience.
• Experience in remote sites, resorts, or emergency care is an advantage.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Willingness to live and work on a remote island resort
