Hostel Manager - Management Internship

As the Hostel Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of Dar Mar Hostel & Coworking while creating a fun, welcoming, and unforgettable atmosphere for our guests.

This is a hands-on role for someone who dreams to open one day his / her hostel, who loves meeting people, thrives in a dynamic environment, and enjoys taking initiative. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, leading the team, and bringing the hostel to life through guest interactions, social events, and creative ideas.

Key Responsabilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the hostel.
• Welcome guests and manage check-ins and check-outs.
• Ensure rooms are clean, prepared, and ready on time.
• Assist with reservations
• Organize social events, themed nights, and activities that bring guests together.
• Work with the restaurant and bar team to create special events and promotions.
• Build a vibrant community by engaging with backpackers and digital nomads.
• Handle guest requests and resolve any issues with professionalism and care.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and encourage positive reviews.
• Lead, motivate, and support the hostel team to deliver an outstanding guest experience.

• Friendly, energetic, and organized.
• Passionate about hospitality, travel, and community.
• Good communication skills.
• Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable multitasking.
• Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
• Previous experience in hospitality, hostels, or hotels is preferred.
• Excited to live and work in Zanzibar and create memorable experiences for guests from around the world.
